After Hurricane Ike, we were without power for 14 days. I never wanted my family to go thru that again. Fish Electric was one of the companies recommended to me for a standby generator. I got estimates from three companies, including Fish Electric. Fish Electric explained why I needed a 36 KW unit whereas the other companies tried to sell me a much larger unit. Fish Electric took care of everything from getting the necessary permits, installing the unit, getting the inspections, and teaching us about the operation of the generator. Our neighborhood has a history of losing power easily. Three weeks after our generator was installed, we went to dinner for my daughter's birthday dinner. A bad storm blew thru while we were at dinner and as we drove back into our neighborhood, we realized all the houses were dark and that "THE ELECTRICITY WAS OUT!". Our house was the only house with any lights on. We were so excited. The neighborhood remained dark for about eight hours.

It was great the other night having the generator when we had a lighting storm and the power kept going out and coming back on. The generator kicked in once. Finally the family got tired of their TV programs being interrupted, watching the cable box reboot every time for over a minute, so I just switched over to the generator power till the storm was over and everyone was happy. Worked very well.

So there I was moving into a new home and had just recently survived persistent brown outs resulting from recent hurricane damage. I decided to look into purchasing a standby home generator to keep the lights on and most importantly the AC when the next storm hit. I had a friend of a friend who is a certified electrician offer the "Deal" of the Century that I couldn't pass up. I took the deal and almost blew up my house for saving a few bucks with a terribly wrong installation. Actually if the power had gone out it seems I would be feeding my power company with electricity instead of powering my own home. Following the last 'rolling blackout' power shortages here in Montgomery, I called Fish Electric to see about installing a back-up generator for my house and home office. Jim Fish came out the next day, did a careful investigation of our needs and wrote a proposal I could take to our POA. As soon as it was approved, a team of electricians Mike and Jerry, showed up and re-wired the house, installed the necessary hardware, advised on routing the gas line. Shortly, a truck showed up with the generator aboard and it was placed and wired up the same day. After showing me how to check the generator, Jim Fish called several times to make sure it was working as advertised.
When a glitch showed up in other generators of a similar type, Fish electricians showed up and did a preventive addition to mine and added a Hobbs meter so I could keep track of hours it ran.
I would heartily endorse anyone's use of this fine company for this or other electrical needs. They were swift, professional and left the area clean as a whistle.

Shortly after the Hurricane Rita and Wilma scares in Houston this year, I decided I was not going to live through another storm season without having some standby power solution at my home in Houston. I made some inquires and was referred by Waukesha-Pearce Industries to your firm. Your response to my interest in obtaining a quality, standby power solution was both professional and rapid. The installation went smoothly and your employees who did the work at the house were terrific, did a first rate installation in a professional manner. I now have a 30kW natural gas powered, liquid cooled Guardian Elite generator sitting on a custom 6" concrete pad behind my garage-out of sight and amazingly quiet. So quiet in fact, I cannot hear it when it goes through its weekly exercise cycle. Approximately 70% of my house circuits are now protected including two central air conditioners and air handlers, four refrigerator freezers and most of the electrical outlets and lighting on three floors.
I'm not wishing for the event that causes a loss of power, but I sure do have the assurance now that I will have the power needed in an emergency. Thank you so much for your assistance.
